I’m an award-winning journalist, specialising in narrative features and investigations.
I’ve covered human rights, modern slavery and global health stories across multiple countries. My reporting has taken me to prisons in El Salvador, diamond mines in Botswana, dumpsites in Kenya, remote mountains in Lesotho, garment factories in Cambodia, and more.
I have written for The New York Times, The Guardian, TIME, The Associated Press, Foreign Policy and ELLE UK, among others.
I’ve also directed and produced documentary work. My ELLE UK film, which documented sexual violence in India, won a One World Media award.
My work examining the deadly consequences of curbing reproductive rights in Kenya was shortlisted for the Anthony Shahid Award for Journalism Ethics. In 2021, I won the ILO’s Labor Migration award for reporting on domestic workers in the Gulf using TikTok, published with The New York Times.
Previously the Deputy Digital Editor of ELLE UK, I edited the multiple award-winning Warrior series published in partnership with The Fuller Project.
